All currently retired or soon-to-be-retired University of Minnesota employees and their spouses or significant others are eligible to join UMRA.

New Members

Retirees joining UMRA for the first time get a year of membership free. Annual dues thereafter are $30 for individual membership or $40 for a couple.

To Join: Register online.  You will add your name and profile to our membership database.  As a member you will receive notices about important events or volunteering opportunities.  You will use this account to make meal reservations, and renew membership.  You can also elect to receive our newsletter.

Paper Option:  If you prefer to submit a hardcopy application, download and print the pdf registration form at Join Form for New Members,  and submit it by mail.  (Note:  this can take over a month to process):  Paying online saves us a lot of work!

Current and Previous Member

UMRA memberships are annual, and expire on August 31.  You will be asked to review your profile when you renew membership.

Forgot your password?  Reset your password HERE -- just enter your email address of record and submit.  You will get a simple email message with a link that lets you choose and set a new password.

To Renew:  Login HERE and “Update Your Record.”  Inspect and make any corrections needed.  We hope you will add information requested that will aid in appreciating membership needs. 

After making your updates, you will be taken to the “Renew Your Membership” form. Please be sure you have made a choice in each option, and then Pay by Credit Card through PayPal* (or from your existing PayPal account) or Pay by mailing a check to UMRA (address above).  Electronic payment is preferred.  Processing paper checks can take over a month.

*Note: When you select to pay by credit card you are taken to a Stripe payment page.

  1. Fill in your credit card information.
  2. Click the PAY button.
  3. You will be taken to a confirmation page showing your payment amount and luncheon date.
  4. You will also receive an email confirmation, immediately.
