Join other UMRA members and friends on Tuesday, February 3, to continue our deep winter tradition of getting together in person to enjoy each other's company and the spirit of the renewing season. There will be fellowship, food, and music provided by Urban Sound, one of the University’s premier student a cappella ensembles.
We’ll be gathering mid-afternoon at Midland Hills Country Club in Roseville in its light-filled Turnberry Hall. The winter solstice will be behind us, the days will be getting longer, and spring semester will have started.
Before the students fill our hearts and ears with song, we’ll have time to socialize and enjoy a wonderful selection of appetizers and sweet treats. We’ll also have coffee, water, and a cash bar.
As U of M retirees, it will be fun to connect with the young and talented U of M students. I have asked the members of Urban Sound to identify themselves, their class years, and their majors.
The price of UMRA’s 2026 winter social is $43 for those making reservations by December 31, 2025, and $45 for later reservations.
Go to the UMRA Member Portal to register and prepay for this February 3 winter celebration at Midland Hills Country Club in Roseville. Reservations, payment, and cancellations (with refunds) are due January 23.
Cancellations can be done in your online profile at umra.wildapricot.org > My Profile > My event registrations. Or, send questions on registration/cancellations to the reservationist. Please let us know if your plans change and you are unable to attend.
For more information about making registrations through the UMRA portal, go to umra.umn.edu > Programs & Events > Event Reservations.
Special note: At this event, UMRA will be collecting new or lightly used winter scarves, hats, mittens, and gloves to be donated to the clothing closets at the Sabathani Community Center in Minneapolis and the Wellstone Center in St. Paul. Please consider bringing an item to donate if you can. See details.
