My husband and I helped my mother write her autobiography. We took the notes that my mother wrote on grocery bags, notepaper, scraps here and there and did our best to do some editing. We used this as an opportunity to incorporate family history from both sides of her family as well as sharing lots of family photos.

We put together a self-published, wire-bound book in 2003. It is a gem for the remaining family because it was accomplished while my mother was still alive. She dedicated the book to her grandchildren. For us, the story exemplifies the extraordinary impact of ordinary people.
