Explore Interest Groups

UMRA interest groups provide opportunity for community, fun and learning. Whether your passion is photography, family history research, sharing travel stories, or traveling, there's a group of UMRA members gathering to share and learn.  And eat cookies.

Serve the U and the Community

Serving the University and the community is important to UMRA. See the many opportunities. As part of UMRA, the University of Minnesota Retirees Volunteer Center (URVC) provides opportunities for retirees to use their knowledge skills and interests in volunteer service within the university.

Attend an Event

Enjoy monthly speakers addressing scholarly, timely, and
entertaining topics. Dine, chat, renew friendships with former colleagues, and make new acquaintances. Strengthen your connection with the University community.

Join a Committee

The work of building a dynamic organization is rewarding and fun. Join us. As an organizational volunteer, you will not only serve fellow retirees, but you will also find that being involved is a great way to get to know others and make new friends.
