‘Prof Notes: Wry Observations on Academic Life’
UMRA member and Professor Emerita Melissa Anderson has published a collection of five-line observations— peculiar, delightful, humorous and poignant—on academic life, based on her 36 years at the University. She finds humor and insight in the tiny details as well as in the institution's grand gestures.
In pithy, irreverent notes, she lets her deep affection for the academic world shine through, even as she calls attention to its absurdities.
“I received the book as a retirement gift, and it is very amusing. The observations are ones we have all experienced,” says College of Design Professor Emerita and UMRA member Becky Yust.
Prof Notes: Wry Observations on Academic Life is available from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, University of Minnesota Bookstores, and Magers & Quinn Booksellers.
