Reminder of annual membership renewal

The UMRA membership year, like the academic year, is from September 1 to August 31. You may renew online (preferred) or by sending a check. This year we are using a new online payment processing system called Stripe. We think it will eliminate problems we have had with PayPal in previous years. Please try it.

There are several prepayment options this year. In addition to renewing your membership, you can reserve and pay in advance for all or any combination of seven programs for 2022–23. And if your plans change, you can get a refund if you cancel 10 or more days before the event.

The first program on September 8, for $35.00/person, is a riverboat cruise on the Mississippi. The remaining programs, each for $30.00/person, are in-person luncheon forums at the Campus Club.

To begin the renewal process, follow this link to the UMRA Membership Portal. This link will first take you to your profile. Please make any necessary updates, then click "Save Changes & Renew" at the bottom of the page to go to the renewal page.

On the renewal page, first select a Single ($30) or a Couple ($40) membership.

Next, you will see the seven programs you can select to reserve and prepay. You can check any combination of programs and attendees—or none, if you prefer.

When you have made your program prepayment selections, select "Pay by Credit Card" or "Pay by Check."

To renew by check without prepaying for programs

Your name on your check is enough information to renew your membership. There is no need to send anything more. Make your check payable to UMRA for $30 for a single or $40 for a couple membership and then mail your check to:

University of Minnesota Retirees Association
McNamara Alumni Center, Suite 250
200 Oak Street SE
Minneapolis MN 55455-2002

Questions? Please email [email protected], call 612-626-4403 and leave a detailed message, or mail your question(s) along with your check.

Thank you for being an UMRA member.
