Inspired by the unexpected discovery that a friend of 15 years was his third cousin, and by the PBS series “Faces of America with Henry Louis Gates Jr.,” Craig Swan wondered how many other cousins he might be meeting every day without realizing they were cousins.
Swan will share how he tried to answer this question—and what he found out—when UMRA’s Family History Interest Group meets from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 7, via Zoom.
An email with the Zoom invitation will be sent in advance to all UMRA members.
If you are interested in joining his quest, email Craig Swan the names (include maiden names for women), birthdates, and birth places of your grandparents.
