Enjoy the golden close of summer on an evening cruise on the Mississippi River in Minneapolis with UMRA friends and colleagues. Our view of the city and the river gorge will be from the deck of the Minneapolis Queen, operated by Paradise Cruises. Watch a video here. There is indoor and outdoor seating available on the boat. The dress is casual but come prepared for the evening weather. The boat will leave the dock at 6 p.m. sharp and return at 8 p.m.
The cruise fee includes a taco bar, and there will be a full service cash bar available on the boat.
The price for the cruise will be $45/person, or take advantage of an Early Eagle discount price of $42/person if you register by June 30. We expect the cruise to sell out, so act soon if you’d like to take part. The last opportunity to register will be July 30 or when the last space is sold, whichever comes first! If you must cancel, we cannot guarantee that your fee will be refundable.

One of us will be available to responde in a timely manner!
There is abundant parking in the pay lot on site at Bohemian Flats Park. Please note that the UMRA parking discount will not apply in this lot owned and operated by Minneapolis Parks.

Vicki Gaylord presents "Out of the basement and into the museum: My experience donating family belongings."
Cabinets of Curiosities will seek out the University of Minnesota Herbarium on the St Paul Campus. Tim Whifeld, Collections Manager, will share his knowledge of that amazing collection and explain its critical importance in the twenty-first century. Botanists study these pressed plants, individually and collectively, to establish a history of plant life, often over centuries, because they contain compelling evidence of the ever modulating geographical distribution of plants and evidence of how climate, pests, and other factors have changed species over time.
