RUN FOR BLOOD – URVC VOLUNTEERS

Saturday, July 23 @ Lake Calhoun (Field Area/ south of the lake)
We need Early Risers ! Volunteer Check-In is 6 AM ! 
(Please say: “Yes I am. Count me in.”)

VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES: (Sign-in at Volunteer Check-in Tent)

1. Hydration Station Attendants: 6 – 11:30 am - Distribute cups of water to runners at one of two stations & clean-up when over.

2. Course Attendants: 6 – 11:30 am - Monitor runners to stay on path in your assigned area & maintain phone/walkie-talkie contact with staff.

3. Registration Attendants: 6 – 8:15 am - Monitor registration/check-in on computer and answer runners’ questions (training provided) & issue race #. Accept another assignment 8:30 – 11:30.

4. T-Shirt Attendant: 6 – 8:15 am – Give shirts to runners and organize registration area when race ends.

5. Canteen/Refreshment Attendants: 6 – 11:30 am – Arrange refreshments & snacks prior to & after race; Repackage after the race.

6. Start Line Attendants & Finish Line/Medals Attendants: 6 – 11:30 am

Direct & organize runners & walkers at their starting points; Hang medals on finishers’ necks; repackage remaining medals.

7. Children’s Activities Attendants: 6 – 11 am – Monitor & run children’s 5 activities; Monitor behavior and safety; Hand out medals.
