MRI – Brain Antioxidants Study: Stage 4

Stage 4 MAY include those who were previous subjects and do NOT have Alzheimer Disease

You are invited to participate in the Stage 4 Study to measure brain antioxidants for a better understanding of brain aging and dementia prevention, particularly Alzheimer’s Disease. The study involves two MRI scans on the same day with cognitive testing and a small blood sample done between the scans. About 3 - 4 hours of your time is expected. A detailed research proposal is available from University Retirees Volunteer center.

Prof. Melissa Terpstra, Center for Magnetic Resonance Research, is in charge of this study. The testing is done at the MRI Center on the University’s East Bank Campus, 2021 – 6th St. S.E., Mpls.

Financial compensation for your time is provided, as is free parking adjacent to the MRI Center. The testing has begun and continues through 2017.
