Lake Elmo hike

Mon, Aug 18, 2025, 9:30am

Location
Lake Elmo Park Reserve, 1515 Keats Avenue North, Lake Elmo, MN

Join Larry Micek, hike leader, on August 18th for a hike at Lake Elmo Park Reserve, located at 1515 Keats Avenue North, Lake Elmo, MN. We’ll hike three miles around Eagle Point Lake.

The hike features prairie restoration areas, an osprey nest and abundant water fowl on the lake. The trails are improved for hiking but not paved and there will be a few small hills so bring walking poles if you wish.

Another reminder - Summer is tick and mosquito season. Bug repellant, sunscreen and water are suggested.

Lake Elmo Park Reserve is located about 1 mile north off I94 on Keats Avenue in Lake Elmo. You will need to purchase a day parking pass for $6 at the welcome center located off the park entry road. Then proceed through the gates to the parking lot located at the first left off the entry road; this is where we will gather for access to the trail head. Afterward, we can gather for lunch at the Northern Taphouse located at 7325 Currell Blvd. in Woodbury. A map will be sent to those who register for this hike a day or two before the event.
