Marilynn Erickson has an interesting set of three family history stories that she wrote “to check out the verbal family stories and connect them to documentation and photos.”

This first story is about “Marie S. Nesseth, my mother’s first cousin and thus my first cousin, once removed.  I am still on a journey to clarify important aspects of her life:  Was she a chiropractor or a nurse or perhaps both.  Different documents and her tombstone give different answers. Her tombstone and will, which one might consider the final statements, indicate she was Doctor of Chiropractic.  While there are still details to be discovered, she was clearly a woman ahead of her time.”
